A presentation about double master’s degree program jointly run by Northwestern Polytechnical University and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid was held at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, NPU on October 27, 2017. Mrs Susana Toledano, Prof. Claudio Feijoo and Prof. Gustavo Plaza from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, delivered wonderful speeches to the students. 40 outstanding students from the Year 3 of the School attended the presentation.
Claudio Feijoo presented an overview of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is one of the best and oldest universities in Spain and a member of the T.I.M.E. It has 4 campuses, 21 colleges, 40,000 students, as well as 3300 faculty members. Claudio Feijoo also introduced Universidad Politécnica de Madrid’s exchange, degree programs, as well as campus and city life.
Gustavo Plaza presented an overview of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Materials at the Polytechnic University and the 0.5 + 1 + 1 double master's degree program. The 0.5 + 1 + 1 double master's degree program is a degree program jointly sponsored by the School of Materials Science of Northwestern Polytechnical University and the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Materials of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
The wonderful presentations of the two professors embarked the enthusiasm of the students. The students enthusiastically spoke and actively asked questions. Two of the students who had experience of studying in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid also shared their experiences of living and learning in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The double master’s degree program would provide students with the opportunity to study abroad and study for a degree, so as to help them to enhance their international perspective and intercultural communicative competence.
