报告摘要:
Magnetic torque is one of the first known magnetic interaction, with the early use of compasses. In material sciences, thanks to the use of strong magnetic fields generated by superconducting magnets, it is now possible to control magnetic orientation on weakly magnetic materials, or also microscopic ferromagnetic materials. The key parameters for the control of the orientation of a particule in a fluid are the magnetic torque, the viscosity of the surronding medium on the competition with brownian montion.
An overview of the mechanisms and some applications to the texturation of materials will be given.

Eric Beaugnon, 法国格勒诺布尔-阿尔卑斯大学教授,法国国家强磁场实验中心研究员,曾担任约瑟夫傅里叶大学副校长,法国国家科学研究中心先进材料应用研究研究所所长。长期以来一直从事强磁场下材料的相变研究与应用工作,是国际磁科学研究领域的著名专家,目前是国际磁科学会议组织委员会(International Organizing Committee of ICMS)主席。
